How to Disable Google Plus Email Notifications

Now that Google+ is such a big deal, maybe you too are jumping on board. If you make a comment on someone’s post however, and then someone else comments as well, you’ll receive a notification in you gmail inbox. This can be downright annoying, but not to worry it’s an easy thing to turn off. All you have to do is venture into your settings in order to stop receiving email notifications from Google+.

Stop Receiving Email Notifications from Google+

First, go to GOOGLE ACCOUNT SETTINGS which can be found by clicking your profile image in the top right corner of the screen, as shown here:

Then you’ll be taken to the GOOGLE ACCOUNT OVERVIEW PAGE. From there, click on Google+ in the left sidebar. As shown in the image below.

Then the next step is easy… All you need to do is go through the Google+ Notification Preferences and check or uncheck whichever boxes correspond with your particular notification preference.

    Doesn’t work for communities, I still get an email and phone push notification every single time someone posts something in a community I’m in
